When disputes arise, we negotiate and resolve construction claims using the most efficient and cost-effective mechanism, be it mediation, arbitration, or litigation. We understand the multi-disciplinary aspects of today’s construction projects.

We coordinate and work as a team with other professionals – the architects, planners, engineers, environmental consultants, traffic engineers, sound impact experts, hydrologists, geologists, and economists – whose work is essential to these types of projects.

Development & Zoning

Our firm can help you navigate the complex zoning, subdivision, and land development process, and the myriad of regulations affecting new construction and land development. We work extensively with property owners, developers, municipalities, zoning hearing boards, and planning commissions.

As the government has expanded its legislation and regulation of the field, we have developed and maintained the capability to handle not only basic local subdivision, site plan, zoning, and planning issues, but also the permitting that county, regional, state, multi-state, and federal law impose upon virtually any project.

We have extensive experience in obtaining permits, approvals, and certifications from local planning boards and zoning boards; county boards; special regional and State agencies. We have demonstrated a solid ability to come up with innovative approaches to the securing of permits and the negotiation and litigation of permit conditions and variances from permitting requirements.

Portfolio Management

Our firm provides experienced legal counsel to landlords and tenants by reviewing, negotiating, preparing, and drafting lease agreements for residential, commercial, office, or industrial property in Maryland. We can counsel clients on a full range of leasing and management transactions, including leases, retail leasing, commercial leases, property management, disputes, office leasing, real estate brokers, and ground leases.
